TabTrade Broker Review - The Good and the Catch
The Broker — The Short Version
Tab Trade launched in March 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, a New Zealand-regulated broker.
That last detail tells you something. It says the founder has actually done this before. That is not a guarantee. But more reassuring than someone with no brokerage experience.
The broker opened with Equinix data centre access in London. Same infrastructure banks and hedge funds use. Usually a new brokerage leads with marketing and bonuses. TabTrade did the opposite. Interesting choice.
Market coverage: forex, stock indices, gold, silver, commodities, equities, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. 1,000+. For a broker that is a few months old, the breadth is solid.
The Software
You get: MT5, cTrader, and web trading. Both MT5 and cTrader from the same login. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Having both is useful. Pick what suits your style.
MetaTrader 5 is the default. Full charting, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know a MetaQuotes platform previously, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Better depth of market. Smoother chart interaction. Built-in algo trading. Many people find it more natural after using both.
FIX API is offered for automated strategies but needs the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView is reportedly coming. That should make the platform set when it arrives.
Costs
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. Commission-free. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Good for beginners.
Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is often under 0.2 pips. Meaning your actual cost per trade can sit below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that have spreads this tight require a minimum deposit. TabTrade has no minimum.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX API, execution under 20ms, negotiated fees. Not for typical accounts. Skip it unless you move real size.
How Fast Are the Fills
This is the thing TabTrade stands apart. Equinix data centres. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. Those are not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers run 100ms to 300ms.
Should you care? For short-term trading, it does. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you hold positions longer, you probably will not feel it. The point is they invested in proper execution. That is they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Combine those fill times with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the total package is strong. Not many platforms with no minimum deposit offer execution like this.
The FSRA Question
This is the part you need to be straight about. Tab Trade is licensed by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If that makes you uncomfortable, this broker is not for you. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.
That said. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement is not cheap. Dodgy operations do not invest in tier-1 data centre access. None of this make it safe. But be part of how you think about it.
The deal: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether the trade-off works comes down to your priorities.
Welcome Offer
TabTrade has a welcome bonus of up to $2,000. Usual deposit match. You put money in, the broker credit extra capital. Usual conditions attached: turnover conditions before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Check the terms before funding.
